• You have bought a ticket to one of our events (e.g. via Eventbrite)
• You have contacted us via one of our social media channels and provided us with your details
• You have signed up to create an account on Canary Directory at www.canarydirectory.com

 

We use the information that you have given us in order to:
• Allow you to process a booking for a product or course or event
• Create a profile for you on our site
• Send you our newsletters or provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes

Your information is securely stored.
We keep your data for as long as necessary in order to perform the services we have agreed to provide to you or until you ask us to delete it. We will then dispose of your information by deleting it from our database / mobile phone.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
