CASE STUDY – Royal Arsenal, Woolwich
- Planning application for a mixed-use development of 507 apartments and approximately 1,500 sqm of ground floor commercial space across four buildings.
- The car-free development proposed a mixture of open market and affordable apartments and a range of commercial units sitting atop the Greenwich Crossrail Queen Elizabeth Station box – Over Station Development (OSD) – consequently subject to additional planning policy/legislation.

- Prepared a Transport Assessment in line with TfL’s Healthy Streets guidance, assessing active travel, site connectivity, demographics, construction impacts, and wider London transport effects
- Supported the design team by exploring highway reconfiguration to improve public realm while retaining necessary access and servicing.
- Undertook traffic modelling demonstrating that the car‑free scheme would have minimal network impact, generating only around ten two‑way peak‑hour vehicle movements.
- Produced a comprehensive Travel Plan showing strong accessibility by walking, cycling and multiple public transport modes.
